Email settings
To set up your email application or mobile device, refer to the step-by-step setup guides below, or fill in the account settings with the following information.
The settings are the same for all email apps and devices. Different apps or devices may use slightly different wording, but they all ask for the same information.
Incoming server (POP3 or IMAP)
User name or account name: your full email address, such as name@example.com
Password: the password for this email address
Incoming server name: securemailserver.ca
Server requires secure connection (SSL): Yes
Security type: SSL or SSL/TLS
Port number: 995 for POP3 or 993 for IMAP
Outgoing server (SMTP)
Outgoing server name: securemailserver.ca
Server requires secure connection (SSL): Yes
Security type: STARTTLS or TLS or SSL/TLS
Port number: 587
Server requires authentication / Require sign-in: Yes
Authentication type: Password or Clear text authentication
User name or account name: your full email address, such as name@example.com
Password: the password for this email address
